Pilot reviews of Wycombe Air Park AirfieldHave you visited

“Wow, what a lovely airfield! ATC were very efficient and the landing fee was a very reasonable £14.00 for a PA28.
Would recommend checking a flight guide before you go as they have a non-standard joining procedure. Also worth checking the noise abatement procedure for departure which is available at reception.
Definitely worth a visit!”

“Lovely airfield, ATC are great and extremely helpful.
Not been here for a while. Dined at newly refurbished 'The Pad' (Formerly The Clubhouse- If I remember rightly), a vast improvement, great food, staff and a memorable day out. Recommended airfield! ”

“I was surprised to see that it was over 3 years since my last visit to Wycombe and I'm pleased to say that the bar/restaurant facilities, as others have said, are much improved. The ATC folk are still as helpful as ever and it's a great example of a busy GA airfield. A good place to visit.”

“Visited wycombe twice last week. Very friendly and efficient. The restaurant serves food which is well priced and of a very good quality.
Would definitely recommend ”

“Been to Wycombe a couple of times recently. Although fairly busy it seems a great place with loads going on.
"The Clubhouse" bar/restaurant looks to have been re-fitted recently, v. tidy and the food is good too. It looks like it would be a rather nice place to sit outside in the summer and watch the world go by. ”

“I flew down to Wycombe last week and it is a worthwhile destination. If you look at the airfield guides the joining procedure seems a little complicated but a PPR phonecall suggested I would probably be given a right base join and this is indeed what happened. It was quite disconcerting to have two Robbos chug across the threshold as I turned final but I gather this is the norm. There is also gliding (on opposite circuits) but it is all very well controlled with friendly and helpful ATC. The site cafe/restaurant is a little run down but the food is good and it was pleasant to sit on the terrace and watch the comings and goings. One slight downside is that the Bianchi Museum has moved to Compton Abbas... I feel another trip coming on.”
