| “ | Visited Tiree on 8 July, superb airfield, easy to find and very good AFIS service. Like many Highland and Island airfields, this has fire and AFIS services which bear little or no relation to the actual use of the airfield, but at least they are available for us! Opening hours are restrictive but you can get an out of hours exemption - we didn't need it and had time to walk to the Tiree Rural Centre, about a 5 minute walk from the terminal. The cafe (the Cobbled Cow) was super - the biggest and best selection of home made cakes I've seen and friendly staff too! ” |
