| “ | It would seem that Lincoln Aero Club run this AD at the weekends and Eastern Air Executive during the week. We flew in on a Tuesday (06/11/07) after a 40 mins flight ( with 9 Squawks!) from Durham TVA. Coming in from the north, it was Linton, Doncaster and Humberside, the latter allowing us to FREECALL Sturgate once the AD was in sight. Hugh ( our man from Eastern) appears to switch the kettle on, at your first call, then passes details and QFE at the second! Right Base for Rwy 27, taxying right to the end and turning left towards the Eastern hangar, where Hugh appears at the office door with a friendly wave and indicates where to park! A nice big office where your coffee is served, there is room to plan your next route, espy the Red Arrows on occasion, all for the cost of the £5 Landing Fee. Hugh likes a chat and the answer to his question regarding the radio mast height is 80 feet!! An enjoyable experience. ” |
