“Flew into and out of Jersey last week with an over night stay. It was completely straight forward and stress free. ATC were just brilliant and completely easy to communicate with. The areo club could not have been more helpful and friendly. Definately a place to visit where GA fits in with commercial jets nicely. And the landing fee was very reasonable!”

“
Went to Jersey last sat/sun - really nice place and facilities and people, helpful to the end. Accomodation resonable and taxi cheap in to town. I agree with the other two reviews. I have been to all the channel islands and would find it hard to choise so i would recommend them all. Alderney is the most different and walking is the best form of transport.Guernsey is a little quieter than Jersey and smaller but similar I feel. Fuel is 66p 56p and 59p Alderney, Guernsey and Jersey. Landing £8 in all of them. Duty free in Alderney and Jersey but Guernsey not available to GA yet. These islands are a good reason to fly - take self plus three friends have a good weekend. Remember GAR and flight plan. And do not worry about the class A, it is a very easy experience. ”

The club also has the exclusive use of a DHC-1 Chipmunk (on permanent lease from Air Atlantique) and having previously completed my tailwheel conversion, I also did my 45 hour check flight in that to keep current.
Apart from often having to hang around holding at various VRP's waiting for the big boys to lant or depart, flying in Jersey is an extremely enjoyable experience. The ATCO's are all extremely professional and accomodating. The club facilities have to be one of the best in the UK with excellent flight planning and met access via extremely fast broadband PC's in the ops room. The club's Aviator lounge has an excellent bar and restaurant facilities with cheap tea/coffee/beer and food - and a superb sun terrace overlooking the threshold for rwy 27.
Dual and solo hire rates are very competetive, especially considering the high standard of their fleet of PA28's. They also have a much reduced 'standby' rate (with conditions) if you are happy to take a chance on availability. All the club staff and instructors are friendly and you always made to feel most welcome.
If you ever find yourself in Jersey, give them a visit. And I would recommend the Normandy Landing Beaches and Mt St Michelle as overhead destinations as an excuse to go flying. ”

“What a thoroughly refreshing change. This has to be one of the friendliest GA airfields in the country. Amazingly helpful ATC, warmest welcome at the Aero Club- even sorted out a B&B and a taxi! Cheap fuel and £12 landing fee includes A WHOLE WEEKs PARKING!!! can't wait to go back. You should see the fantastic facilities - great FBO, and a bar observation balcony upstairs. The airport has its own GA parking area and even has a GA hold so you don't get squashed by the big boys!”
