Pilot reviews of Cottered Airfield Airfield

“Flew into Cottered/Buntingford yesterday (31-12-07). Pristine strip and not at all muddy, but watch out for dog poo when alighting on the apron! Booking in/out sheets are in a barrel(!) marked 'C'. Windsock is non-standard dirty white colour and difficult to see from the air. Would suggest make circuits to the North to avoid detour around village. Watch out for tall trees on final approach to RWY25 and power lines to north of strip. Check it out on Google Earth. RWY25 has slight downslope if performance is of concern. Didn't check out the village, so can't comment on catering facilities.”
