Compton Abbas Airfield (EGHA)
Compton Abbas is a scenic airfield to fly into, and not so difficult to find now that a strobe light has been added.
Staff on the Compton Radio service are friendly and efficient, and the airfield restaurant is great. For a fly-in or a place to meet up with your GA pals, it doesn't get much better than Compton Abbas.
Aerobatic displays, competitions and practices happen frequently at Compton Abbas, so it's always worth stopping in en route too!

| “ | I and three friends flew into Compton Abbas on Bank Holiday Monday 5th May from North Weald.
We received a very warm welcome and the food was excellent as was the service.
The runway was surprisingly wet, but we were warned of this when we called for PPR, this was my first visit but it will not be my last, the views from the airfield are stunning and it was great to see the airfield so busy, there were many visitors of the none flying kind, just watching the aircraft and taking pictures as well. A great destination. ” |
