Alderney Electricity to become AVGAS supplier

Local Power Company 'Alderney Electricity' has made the decision to invest in the equipment needed to become the new supplier of aviation fuel from the 1st September 2005.

This is seen as great news by Alderney Flying Club as it will know enable them to continue with the 9th Island Air Races due to take place on the 24th & 25th September. This is a very prestigeous event at which both the British and the European Air Racing Championships are decided.

In the meantime, although no fuel is available at Alderney, arrangements have been made for pilots to land at Guernsey on their way to, or from Alderney without incurring a landing fee. The only restriction being that you do not change your load, or stay for more than one hour.
